Living in the Camp Community When campers get to Sea Camp, they are placed in crews (either A, B, or C - depending on the age) where they can mingle and interact with campers their same age. During different nights at camp every crew has their own "Crew Night" where themed activities range anywhere from Christmas in July, Jamaican Me Crazy to Make Your Own Tea and Salsa Night. Every summer the counselors of the different crews decide on what their crew night will be so every summer it is something completely different and unique! The first weekend of camp is the Sea Camp Dance. Themes for the dances are decided by the Counselors in June and information is sent to campers so they can brainstorm about costume ideas. The second weekend of camp is the Sea Camp Carnival. Just like the dance, the themes are decided on by the counselors in June and sent to the campers. At the carnival, campers can enjoy the usual carnival booth games, take part in numerous raffles for awesome prizes like gift certificates and one-of-a-kind items or hang-out and listen to music and dance the night away with their friends.
On certain nights we give campers the choice of deciding what they want to do. Counselors will have created different "electives" that campers can sign up for. Previous elective nights have been The He-Man Hike, Feed the CIMI Animals, Spa Night, Bingo-Bonanza extended arts and crafts, Alternative-Rock Wall, and many more. Just like all other night activities, elective night ideas change every summer!
