For New Group Leaders For two to seven days your students will be immersed in sail training, science, and teamwork aboard the largest sailing school vessel on the West Coast - the SSV TOLE MOUR. Along the way, our sailing instruction will include classes and hands on experiences based on the running of a sailing ship and the science of the waters through which we sail. Students in grades 4 - 12 learn to sail TOLE MOUR to Catalina and the Northern Channel Islands where they participate in marine science and island ecology studies. This unique program is a live-aboard sail training adventure that focuses on oceanography and marine science of the past and present. It stimulates minds, encourages teamwork, builds character, and develops self-esteem, while teaching the importance of marine, island and wildlife conservation.
